Descubrir este sitio fue como ¡¡guau, no me lo puedo creer!!! Fue hace unos meses, un día que pasaba por la C/ Barco nº 8 de Madrid, yo creo que estaban recién abiertos. El Lunch Box Restaurant & Tiki Room, entra por todos los sentidos, solo hay que dejarse llevar.
La primera parte del local, la zona de bar, es la zona Tiki. Con unas referencias muy claras a Hawaii y a la cultura polinesia, está ambientada en tonos verdes, el mobiliario de esta zona está formado por piezas vintage principalmente y muy bien integrados como parte de la decoración, los vasos con forma de dioses Tiki para los cócteles, destacables todos, pero por citar alguno...el Singapore Gin Sling, Sex on the Beach, Lunch Box, Maitai, Zoombie, además de otros mas tradicionales como Margarita, Manhattan o Cosmopolitan.
El Lunch Restaurant está a continuación y en el se respira esencia americana de los años 50 en todos sus rincones. Inspiración rockabilly en tres colores, turquesa blanco y rojo y como gran protagonista la silla Panton. Las paredes están salpicadas por llamativos murales, todos ellos realizados por Roberto Argüelles de Bunker Graphics. En cuanto a la carta, nadie debería salir del Lunch Box sin haber probado los finger de pollo o la provoleta con pesto y tomate seco o alguno de sus bocadillos, ensaladas o hamburguesas con nombres tan asombrosos como Lauren Bacall, John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, Steve McQueen o Marlon Brando (aunque Alfredo Landa también anda por allí).
